The Marshall B. Ketchum University (MBKU) is a private, non-profit university formerly known as the Southern California College of Optometry established 110 years ago. MBKU offers a Doctor of Optometry (OD) and a Master of Science in Vision Science (MMS) and is also planning a Master of Medical Sciences (MMS) in Physical Therapy Studies (to start August, 2014) in addition to starting a College of Pharmacy (anticipated start date 2016). The College of Pharmacy is unaccredited and has not started the accreditation process as yet.
The University is named after Marshall B. Ketchum who was a medical doctor and a pharmacist and founder of the Southern California College of Optometry.
