The speaker for the evening was Michael W. Kalichman, Professor and Director of the UCSD Research Ethics Program. He has been a consultant or speaker on the topic of research ethics for both national and international workshops and advisory groups. His topic of discussion was Science, Truth and the Public Trust were he expressed that there is a growing concern about science that cannot be reproduced. Major scientific journals have called for greater objectivity in research to overcome the natural tendency to find what we want to find. For more information see press release.
